Not a bad beer, the flavor doesn't live up to the juicy, hop laden promise of the aroma, but it is still not shabby. The finish has a bit of bread-like / cracker-like malt to it that helps to round out the bitterness just a bit. ![]() The fruitiness is still here, just much muted and more as a spicing to the overall flavor a touch of Meyer lemon zest is noticeable as is a hint of apricot essence. The dryness accentuates the herbal hop flavors (pine and even a touch of hemp) and amply biting bitterness over the fruity hop notes that dominated the aroma. ![]() The beer is pretty easy drinking a the lighter body make this quite quaffable. The aroma is all about the hops with fruity / citrusy nose playing the up front role. The beer is a reddish amber color that shows a lightly hazed, red tinged, copper hue when held up to the light. An ample pour into my large Tripel Karmeliet tulip produces a fat-two-finger thick, lightly tanned, pale head.
